Cyber Bullying

Cyber Bullying has become more prevalent in our schools today and we wanted to help bring more awareness to the problem.  According to stopbullying.gov cyber bullying has grown from 6% in 2008 – 2009 to 16% in 2011, this is more than double in a few years.  Because cyber bulling can happen 24/7 via text, email, social networking, pictures and videos and with so many children with access to technology such as tablets, phones and computers it is no wonder this number has seen such a dramatic shift.

Below is a list of just a few of the effects of cyber bullying on your kids:

  • 1) Use of alcohol and drugs
  • 2) Skipping school
  • 3) In person bullying
  • 4) Poor self esteem
  • 5) Lower grades
