22 Jul Alarm Scams in Arizona – know the facts
Every couple of years we see an increase in activity of alarm salespeople going to door to door to set you up with alarm services to protect you and your home. At Bolt Security Guard Services we would like to protect residents against this type of activity. Here are a few things to look out for:
1) All legitimate alarm companies are licensed by the Arizona State Board of Registration.
2) Don’t feel pressured into signing a contract at that moment, companies should give you the time to do your due diligence and be familiar with the company.
3) If the representative says “they just purchased your alarm company” call your current security provider to verify. Any significant changes such as a company purchased etc. you will be notified in advance.
The key to this and all other scams is to ask questions, do your research and don’t feel pressured into making a decision on the spot. Legitimate companies will give you the time you need to feel comfortable with your service provider. After all, working with a security company you are creating a long term relationship and you need to feel comfortable to work together.
If you have questions about this and other security related issues please contact BSN Security representative for assistance.
