Bolt performs thorough background checks, finger printing, drug screenings, and driving records prior to employment. Those we hire are above the caliber of the average security guard, and most have a background in police work, formal security training or related military experience.

Training

Training is the single most important ingredient for success in any business, but particularly in the security arena. Bolt Security Guard Services requires all guards to have a DPS (Department of Public Safety) license. This license requires formal training of each guard in the following areas.

Bolt takes its role very seriously. We firmly believe in employee education and training, and continually incorporate new opportunities for personal and professional growth in our programs.

At Bolt, our officers receive hours of initial classroom time, followed with hours of on the job training before they complete their probationary period, and additional training sessions thereafter. Importantly, guards obtain thorough training, certification, and licensing in life safety - including CPR and AED (something very few other guard services do). They are also trained in the arming and disarming of a wide variety of alarm systems, how to respond to a wide variety of emergency situations, relating to a homeowner and servicing them.

Supervision

In order to maintain the highest standards and the best security guards possible, Bolt provides detailed supervision of every assignment and every gate under our care. This assures not only the safety of the communities and sites being monitored, but that of our officers as well. Through our operational protocol, unannounced site inspections, computer logging requirements, and guard tour tracking system, we are able to thoroughly monitor every aspect of the service we are providing.
